One thing is for sure, the bathroom is becoming my best friend. I have gone so much today. As a matter of fact, I was in line at Olive Garden, and my mom walked in along with another woman, and before I could see her body I was screaming hey! hey! to say get in line. Once I realized it was my mom I started laughing. She did let me go next since she knew my bladder was getting small :) I used to never be this way.

Second Day - July 4, 2009
Today is July 4,2009. I woke up around 8:30 am. I had to be at my mom's by 10:00 am to leave for Fayetteville. My mom, stepfather, stepsister, nephew, and I saw Ice Age 3 in Real3D and I must say, it was FANTASTIC! We went to Olive Garden afterwards. I loooove Olive Garden. So this was my first dining experience after going on plan. I must say, it went pretty good. Everyone else got soup and salad. I had a large glass of water, glass of Diet Coke (losing taste for it), and a kid's cup of ice which I used for my chocolate shake. I also had the opportunity to explain what I am doing to my stepsister. She seems supportive. She's seen me through so many plans like everyone else. Still too early to decide.
First Day - July 3, 2009
Today is July 3, 2009. My first day on Optifast 800. I woke up around 10:00 am. I laid in bed until around 12 pm with my cats and dog watching Incendiary with Michelle Williams. I then washed dishes, tidied up my house, and got ready to go into town. I tackled the Wal-Mart crowd, met my brother at the cemetary, picked up shakers at GNC, and attended a carwash party at my mom's. After I scheduled my appointment with the clinic, I discussed my decision with my parents. My mom agreed to support me, and my stepdad is behind me but hopes I will keep my primary physician up to date. I have agreed to do so once I get a copy of my bloodwork. Once the carwash party was over, I was soaked and tired. My mom was so shocked at my energy level. I had not handwashed a car since high school. Let alone helping with two. Very impressive day.
I consumed six shakes, four sugar free fruit candies, and did not keep count of water. I had a slight headache, but not disabling. Each time I drank a shake, I had to rest for about 30 minutes before doing anything active. I could not explain the feeling to my mom, but I was not dizzy. I just felt bogged down and blah. Weird!
Clinic Orientation - July 2, 2009
My orientation took place on July 2, 2009 in the Fayetteville, NC clinic. In order to participate in the Optifast 800 plan in the USA, medical supervision is required. Fasting bloodwork was also required, and my veins suck. So after about five tries, I ended up going to a local lab which had success on the second try. :) YAY!! I also had an EKG which was normal, and met with the doctor. He was so very nice along with all the staff. So energetic. :) It was also decided that I would do B6/B12 shots for awhile to boost my energy. I also spoke with some of the other clients who seem to be having good luck with their plans.
I left the lab around 3:00 pm. I stopped by Chick-Fil-A to get a chargrilled chicken wrap and 8 piece nugget with a coke. About an hour later I stopped by Hardee's to get a Frisco burger combo with curly fries and a coke. My last stop was my mom's where my stepsister, nephew, mom, and stepfather had planned my last family meal. Fish, hushpuppies, fries, coleslaw, and sweet tea! If you haven't noticed, I consumed all of this food within four hours! I had started weaning myself off of food on Monday using Muscle Milk light and Myoplex bars, but I was definitely going to miss food. Starting on July 3, 2009, I will only have 5 shakes a day with an optional 6th as needed. No food for awhile!

Introduction
Hey there! My name is Lis, and I am 24 years old. I have been overweight since I was four years old. My first diet was in preschool. Forget juice! I had to deal with water before Crystal Lite was mainstream. Fortunate for me, my bottle had an adorable troll on it. :) Thanks mom!
My father died in early 2008 from obesity. He was almost 53 years old, and pushing 500 pounds. I spent a lot of time pressuring him to persue medical attention/surgery. In one of our last arguments, which I will never forget. "If it's so damn easy, why haven't you done anything about yours."
I have tried a lot of different plans with minimal success being no more than 30 pounds lost. Of course this was extremely discouraging, so I would end up gaining it back and some. I wore a size 18 jean by sixth grade. I weighed around 250 in college. At my first weigh-in/orientation on July 2, 2009, I came in at 296.75.
I am now attempting my last plan. If this does not work, I will not try anything else except to do the best I can and will accept an early death.
The plan is Optifast 800. The clinic I am going through is located in Fayetteville, NC. The goal is to lose 110 pounds in 26 weeks. This seems really fast to me, but I really need it. My life depends on it.
